Bold Decisions, Backed by Evidence

Standing firm with communities whose ecosystems and rights are at risk, we support Africa’s people in securing resource rights and sustainable wild economies.

Our Impact

Conservation is about people. At Jamma, we believe that sustainable conservation starts with those who live closest to wildlife. That’s why we champion Human Centred Conservation – an approach that recognises Indigenous Peoples and Local Communities (IP and LCs) as leaders, not bystanders, in conservation. We work alongside them to strengthen their role in managing natural resources, advocating for their rights, and building sustainable wildlife economies.

Bold, evidence-driven, and people-centred. Our partnerships with IP and LCs, conservation experts, and policymakers ensure that decisions about conservation are informed by science and led by those most affected.
