Katie returns from project site visits

Jamma recently reconnected with partners in southern Africa during visits to the Zambian Rainbow Development Foundation (ZRDF) as well as a research site of our Morally Contested Conservation project and CAMPFIRE in Zimbabwe.

During her visit, Katie spent valuable time with local community members, experiencing the projects firsthand and witnessing their positive impact. At ZRDF, the third annual harvest of the community-led aquaculture project was a true highlight. This initiative empowers local people to manage their natural resources, improving nutrition and creating new income streams for households. To date, the project has helped feed over 4,500 people across 15 communities in Zambia’s Mkushi and Luano districts.

In the communities involved in our Morally Contested Conservation research project, participants shared their appreciation for the study’s outcomes and relevance to their lives. These stories underscore Jamma’s commitment to being deeply connected to our partners and their work. By staying engaged, listening and learning, we continue to strengthen the foundation for meaningful, community-driven impact.
